The lyrics of this piece are verses from two poems, “Ey Morqake Xord (O Little Bird)” and “Osian (Rebellion),” by two Iranian women poets from different generations, Parvin E’tesami and Forough Farrokhzad. These verses have been rearranged, and sometimes parts of one poem are combined with another.
